Structural Features

 

1. Two Outlets: This is the most prominent structural feature of the double-outlet fire hydrant. Usually, it has two outlets with different calibers. Common caliber combinations include DN65 and DN80, etc. It can simultaneously meet the requirements of connecting fire hoses of different specifications and can supply water to two fire hoses at the same time. This increases the water output during fire extinguishing and the coverage area, thus improving the fire extinguishing efficiency.
2. Valve Control: Each outlet is equipped with an independent valve, which can separately control the on-off of the water flow. It is convenient to flexibly adjust the use of one or two outlets according to the actual fire extinguishing needs.
3. Appearance and Material: The appearance is generally red, making it easy to identify. The main body is mostly made of cast iron or ductile iron, which has good compressive strength and corrosion resistance. Working Principle

 

The double-outlet fire hydrant is connected to water sources such as the municipal water supply network or the fire water tank. When a fire breaks out, firefighters open the door of the fire hydrant box, take out the fire hose, connect one end of it to the outlet of the fire hydrant, and the other end to the fire hose nozzle. Then, they open the valve of the corresponding outlet. The water in the municipal water supply network or the fire water tank, under the action of pressure, flows through the fire hydrant and the fire hose to the fire hose nozzle. Firefighters can then use the water flow ejected from the fire hose nozzle to carry out fire extinguishing operations.
